The great St. Andrews Arts Council piano migration took place on July 16, 2014 under the manpower and supervision of Dan Mullen of Pianoworks of New Brunswick fame. These pianos will be used very soon by faculty and students in the Piano Academy & Festival International (PAFI), Aug. 4-16, 2014. The Arts Councils newly purchased 9 Steinway Concert Grand was moved into All Saints Anglican Church Sanctuary, with the help of Canon John Matheson and Jeannie Stinson. The Steinway baby grand belonging to PAFI Artistic Director, Dr. Chih-long Hu was moved from St. Stephen University which generously houses the piano during the winter, to the Baptist Church of St. Andrews with the help of Rev. Hal Babcock and Janet E. Tidd. The Arts Council Steinway baby grand was moved into the NBCC gymnasium with Terry Price s coordination and help. Winners of the St. Andrews Arts Council International Piano Competition will play on the instrument at the 28th Annual Gala Festival Concert, August 16, 2014 under the direction of Lewis Dalvit, condudtor. Thanks go to so many who make possible the St. Andrews Arts Councils fine and performing arts programs.
