The great deposit of Truth our Country was founded upon honored integrity as an essential virtue and hypocrisy as a horrible vice. Subjectivity, irrationality, worldliness, uncertainty, tolerance, and compromise was a lesser option. Because the Holy Scriptures were accepted as true, faithful citizens affirmed truth boldly and with little compromise. The truth was understood to be exactly what people needed to hear in order to counteract the lies that were prevalent within the culture and relationships. But remember, we need to express that truth in love - people need to know that we love them before they will be willing to hear us! ......"so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ..." Ephesians 4:14-15 ESV
