The great fisherman has returned! Lots of firsts today! First time being seasick. Swells were 15-20 feet and I seriously prayed we didnt roll over! The captain was a hilarious, fun, helpful and generous man... Who let me sleep in his bed down below! After getting sick twice and forcing down my sandwich, I got my pole and learned the fine art of jigging! Haddock were very plentiful, but had to be thrown back because their seasonwas up 3 weeks ago! I threw my 21 inch catch begrudgingly back to the sea! My client caught 10 Haddock and 1 22 inch Pollack! The day was fun despite the fact that I had no fish to fry UNTIL our last stop of the day! The captain told us we had to head back and to reel it in. I was reeling and brought up the last fish of the day: A 20 inch Pollack who promptly jumped off my hook! The first mate ran over and snagged him for me with his hook! We had so much fun! Lots of laughs, fish stories galore and some very nice and fun people to spend one of the best experiences of my life with! My phones battery died so the only photo of me with Mr. Pollack was taken by a gal who offered to send it to my phone. She said it went through but I dont have it yet! :( What is pictured here is the ole girl of the sea and my lovely Cusk and Pollack Fillets! Next summer: Going once a month! Yep! Loved it! Next time: Seasick pills! Going to try to reach that gal on the boat tomorrow who took my picture! Really want you all to see the one that didnt get away!!
