The greatest CHALLENGE for the Commission on Audit(COA) has finally come. Malacanang is dallying smartly on the DAP, basically known as DISBURSEMENTS ACCELERATION PROGRAM case, fully knowing that lots of lawmakers are involved in Malacanangs dispensations of several millions of funds, which up to this writing no one knows whether those taxpayers monies went astray or not. The awkward stand by the Palace not to release any information with respect to this matter is not really surprising, considering that any move on its part that tend to antagonize these lawmakers would be TANTAMOUNT to political suicide on the part of this President,since the legislative branch has the STRONGEST TOOL, the POWER to IMPEACH the President once provoked, justifiably or otherwise. But, I still believe that it is now incumbent upon the COA to divulge the WHOLE TRUTHS, no matter who gets hurt. It must not allow itself to be a rubber stamp of anybody, not even the President. The Filipino people, who are the real victims of all these irregularities expect COA to do what is RIGHT, come what may.
