The greatest generation. Survive through the Great Depression and the Great War. I grew up very proud of my uncles and my father who gave all so that we could all live free.. Ive only had one concerned about that generation. Where were they when my fellow soldiers and I returned from Vietnam and we were called baby killers and we were spat upon.. never seen one of the great generations at the airport welcoming us back home or sticking up for us. That always confused me. I did three tours of duty in Vietnam serve my country well... I was wounded and earned the Purple Heart Bronze Star and Silver Star.. The first time I ever received thank you for a job well done was 5 years ago and it did come from one of the greatest generation at a VA hospital.... I have nothing but respect for them I just never understood why they werent standing by our side.. Love and peace to all of them including the women that served our country working in our factories to support the war effort.. Love and peace
