The greatest offenses in life; loss, death, poverty, loneliness, - TopicsExpress

The greatest offenses in life; loss, death, poverty, loneliness, fear, injury, discomfort, job loss, difficult life events, marriage problems, divorce, a person wrapped in a difficult package….. whatever it may be in life that offends you. These things possess the most influence to change us for the better when we take them to the Lord and ask Him to reveal himself in the journey through them. The other option is become bitter and bound by them. There is no third option. It is in these offensive times when taken to the Lord, our faith grows and is refined into a priceless tenacity! It is also the time we are most influential on the world around us as they are watching to see if our faith is a noun or a verb. As we journey with Jesus through these offensive times in our life if we dig deep we find it is not the offensive things that are the problem, it is our warped view of who God is and how He takes care of us. We expect Him to give us the faith to get through the challenge, when he has already given us the faith. It is us who choose to gaze and meditate on the problem; we grumble and complain believing the lie is truth and giving that lie more power over us as we throw a doubt party where we feast on criticism. It is in doing this we declare our belief in the enemies work; living as though we believe him! We are living with a stagnant mind when God wants to renew it in Him. Romans chapter 12 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. 3 For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. It’s time we start throwing a faith party! God gave us all a measure of faith as His children… there is no where it says anyone gets more or less. It does say we only need the faith of a mustard seed! So let’s throw that faith party! Declare the promises we have in Christ, proclaim our faith in God’s provision and insight through this journey. It’s time we set our sights on the victory we have in Jesus over anything that seeks to detour our abundant life in Him! With Joy offer a sacrifice of praise declaring the assurance of His answer before it happens! This is where we find the abundance in Christ we were promised! It truly changes our viewpoint on our journey through humanity when we live in the faith we have been given. It allows us the privilege to live in sound judgment rather than being tossed by the waves of fear and doubt which leads to a shipwrecked faith. Anyone want to join me in a Faith party!!!!! © Zavia Hope Thomas
