The greatest record store in the world! Sadly no more... This little film is from 1971, but I didnt make it there til 1974. It was just the same - as you entered you could smell the vinyl and cardboard. It was the church in which I, and many others, worshipped. Everything ever recorded was in there (a bit light on the classical though). I always left with at least 30 albums under my arm, then stayed up all night playin em! Some days Id shop for four or five hours, it was like a library, nobody complained - one night I left on the lights on my rental car and had to get push started by the staff! I attended from my first trip to LA until it closed in 2006. The coolest thing was seeing three blow up front covers of my albums gracing the walls outside.
