The gross domestic product grew at the fastest rate since 2011 last quarter thanks in part to business spending and stronger exports. As we look ahead we know that 70% of economy is driven by consumer spending. When working families have more money, they will replace that old car, invest in home repairs and take the kids on vacation -- creating more jobs and a stronger economy. Thats why I support a minimum wage increase.
