The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, in Imo State for the 2015 governorship election, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha has thanked all PDP members for the confidence they have in him by electing him the flag bearer. He also commended all the aspirants for putting up a good struggle. He also called on all of them to join hands with him to ensure victory of the party in the general election.Speaking to news men after being declared the winner of the keenly contested PDP primary election held at GrassHoppers stadium Owerri, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha noted that it is a dawn of a new era to put Imo on a right track again. He commended the members of the electoral body and the State Working Committee led by Sir Nnamdi Anyaehie for a transparent, peaceful and credible primary election. Meanwhile, the runner up. Sen Ifeanyi Araraume has congratulated the winner Ihedioha and pledged to work with him to ensure the victory of PDP in Imo. Other aspirants like His Excellency, Sen Chris Anyanwu, Sen Bright Nwanne, Sir Mike Ahamba, Ken Njemanze, SAN, among others have congratulated Chief Ihedioha for his victory that is well deserved promising to work with him to ensure the success of the party in the 2015 general election. Ihedioha who scored 346 votes to win his closest challenger Sen Araraume who scored 336, Sir Ikedi Ohakim came a distant third with 213votes. Other scored less than 50votes
