The handsome fellow below is Robert Burns, Scotlands favorite son, born January 25, 1759 died July 21, 1796 at the age of 37. As Robbies spirit has been felt around Martintown and the Grand Hotel recently we have decided to hold our 1st annual Robbie Burns night to celebrate the life, works, and spirit of Robbie. This is an evening where you can wear your favorite Scottish attire and enjoy a wee bit of poetry, whiskey, piping, music, haggis, good food and have a bonnie guid time. The evening will commence around 5:00 for a meet and mingle with full festivities stating at 6:00. There will be a buffet supper consisting of soup, salad, tilapia fish in a cream dill sauce, rice, roast beef, mashed potatoes, turnips, and vegetable medley. For dessert poor mans pudding with ice cream. Sound good....we know you will enjoy it. And of course lots of scotch whiskey for your pleasure. For our musical enjoyment Paddy Kelly and Ashley MacLeod will have our toes a tapping. Cost for the evening is $30 per person and includes your buffet supper and all entertainment. Seating is limited we will hold seats for anyone who calls and books seats. If you have not pre booked your seats it will be on a first come basis. Are you Scottish or just a wannabe or maybe you just like scotch whiskey? Which ever you are come and join in some real Scottish festivities and see how the scots of Glengarry party.
