The harsh reality of Ramadan for our Muslims who have had no option but to leave their homes and lives in Syria. They live as refugees dependent on handouts from charities. One sister becomes very emotional when asked about her Ramadan, she expresses her shame...she has no job, no money and has nothing to offer her family. She is ashamed at the fact that she has to knock on doors and ask others for food... Is this how it is meant to be? Who will defend the rights of these displaced families, where is the leadership which vows to protect and provide for its citizens? While the Muslim leaders in the Arab world dine on their fine foods in their lavish homes, the Ummah is left to drop its head in shame... (TMQ AL-Muddaththir: 11-25) "Leave Me alone,(to deal) with the (creature) whom I created (bare and alone)!- To whom I granted resources in abundance, And sons to be by his side!- To whom I made life smooth and comfortable! Yet is he greedy-that I should add (yet more);- By no means! For in Our Signs he has been refractory! Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamaties! For he thought and he plotted;-And Woe to him! How he plotted!-Yea,Woe to him; How he plotted!-Then he looked round; Then he frowned and he scowled; Then he turned back and was haughty; Then he said: This is noting but magic, derived from of old; "This is nothing but the word of a mortal!"
