The head of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has congratulated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on his assumption of office, with a pledge of the world body’s development network’s continued support to Pakistan.“This historic transition from one democratically elected civilian government to another represents an important consolidation of democracy in Pakistan,” UNDP Administrator Helen Clark said in a letter to the Pakistani leader.
