The heart is a strange and deadly thing. Able to express great joy and love when happy, and yet, when threatened it will retreat to the darkest corners of our soul, allowing our mind to take charge of our actions, and the mind, is a cynical and analytical powerhouse. Capable of causing us great pain and encouraging us to hurt those we love. The person we portray while our mind is in control is not the same as when our heart is leading us. We may feel ashamed or embarrassed of our actions while our heart is out of commission, but we shouldnt. We can only hope that those we love understand and allow us to earn forgiveness. I feel ashamed:/ but happy to read this ♥
