The heartrending Massacre of hundreds of school children in Peshawar- a bustling city of Pakistans Northwest frontier Province by militants belonging to Pakistan Taliban and the subsequent public outrage saw the parties across the political spectrum in Pakistan and its powerful military taking a vow to annihilate terrorism from its soil.Many felt Pakistan will rise to the occasion and unleash military action against the militants operating out of its soil without making a distinction between good terrorists who wages a war against India and the groups who now emerged as a grave threat to its security and sovereignty. Instead of rooting out terror elements from its soil once and for all which is vital for its peace, stability and development, Pakistan has continued to turn its ire against India.The recent spate of ceasefire violations by its army which continues to resort to mortar shelling on Indian villages and army positions along Line of Control and International border to facilitate the infiltration of militants has demonstrated in unequivocal terms of its lack of interest in pursuing peace with India.It is time Pakistan realize the futility of its strategy of bleeding India by using terror as an instrument of state policy for it has done more harm to its national interest.Terror elements which it nurtured over the decades to inflict damages on its adversaries like India has now emerged as its Frank Stein monsters and threatening its peace and national security.Pakistans misadventure on the border needs to be dealt with iron hand.
