The highest virtue in the American church is to be nice. Though the word is not in the Bible, it has become the standard for Christian conduct. The problem, of course, is nice Christians do not confront evil to defeat it and set the captive free. It appears to be judgmental and it might offend those who are hellbound. Biblical Christians are called to be kind and good. They overcome evil by doing good and understand that it is the goodness and kindness of God that leads guilty sinners to repentance and the acknowledgement of the truth to the saving of their souls. Are you nice or good?
