The hot and humid weather continues today with the chance for scattered thunderstorms, especially this afternoon. Any storms that develop have the potential to produce heavy rain and frequent lightning. Tropical moisture will continue move into the Carolinas of the weekend so rain chances will be going up into the weekend. Factor in a slow moving cold front Sunday into Monday and we will have rather cloudy conditions with a good chance for rain and thunderstorms. The front will move away on Tuesday, but it will stay warm and muggy with a chance for afternoon storms.
