The human race is accustomed to defeat. Individually, and - TopicsExpress

The human race is accustomed to defeat. Individually, and collectively, we have come to accept defeat as an inevitable human experience; we were conceived in defeat (sin) and we exit the world in defeat (death). In some respect, this is true, but it is only half the truth. Jesus paid the full price for our sins, and gave us full rein to live a victorious life. Sin brought guilt, shame, weakness and death, but God’s righteousness, which we have come to inherit in Christ Jesus, brings the fullness of life. Sin no longer has dominion over us. We have the life and power of God in us and, with it, all the resources we need to fulfil our purpose for being, and to triumph over the circumstances of life. The truth is, nothing has the capacity to hinder you. We must get out of the mindset of defeat. It was Preston Bradley who said, “Expect victory and you make victory.” We cannot live victoriously if we expect to be defeated. We cannot see the Word and Power of God at work in our lives, if we do not allow faith create an expectation of victory in our hearts. Indeed, this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4 NIV). Do not be alarmed by temporary setbacks. All things are working together for your good, for your victory. The devil thought he had Jesus cornered, but that temporary setback brought an eternal victory. Your victory glorifies God. You will be victorious in every area of life. Expect victory today and always, in Jesus’ name.
