The #hungryexplorer crew loves our kuih so when we heard about Kafe Bawang Merah, we just had to make a visit. The kuih is only available from 3.00pm onwards but when we got there a half hour before, the place was already packed to the brim! When they finally brought the kuih out, there was immediately a crowd so we had to elbow our way through! Their cekodok pisang (RM0.20 each) was crispy, sweet, and easy to pop. The keria (RM0.70 each) was similarly sweet, caked with icing sugar with a good amount of soft powdery sweet potato. For something more savoury, there was the crispy cucur udang and sweet-sour taufu sumbat (RM0.70 each). If you arent feeling kuih, their other dishes like nasi campur and soto were just as delicious.
