The ice storm kept a lot of people away from the ERUUF (Eno River - TopicsExpress

The ice storm kept a lot of people away from the ERUUF (Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship )on Thursday, so I didn’t have a Beginning Lindy Charleston class (of course the die-hards came to the other classes!)last week. Not to worry, I am starting Beginning Charleston from the top starting this Thursday on March 13, at 8:30. This class will include variations of Tandem , Front, and side Charleston. I call this Lindy Charleston to distinguish it from 20’s style Charleston. Although this is part of Lindy, these moves are fun and can easily be added to East Cast Swing. Once you get the basics down, you can jump into the continuing Charleston class at 6:30. Intermediate/Advanced Lindy is at 7:30. The next TSDS dance will be the Keen McKensie Quintet at the Century Center in Carrboro on March 15. Pamela and I will be teaching the beginning workshop there as well if you know people who want to learn some beginning East Coast. See triangleswingdance.org ;for details! Every Friday is: Dance Blues Friday lesson and dance at Triangle Dance Studio in Durham. In Durham, at the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (ERUUF), on Thursdays, March 6-27 Lindy Charleston (basic tandem, front and side Charleston required) - 6:30-7:30pm Intermediate /Advanced Lindy-7:30-8:30pm Beginning Lindy Charleston- 8:30-9:30 $33 for 3 one hour classes; College Students with ID, $30; single one hour class: $12 No partner necessary! For directions to The Commons Room in the CARE Building, Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 4907 Garret Road, Durham: From I-40, go to exit for 15-501 between Chapel Hill and Durham; turn towards Durham and drive a mile or so; turn south (right) on Garrett Road at the vacant lot formerly known as Darryls (now demolished). Drive approximately 0.7 miles. Near the crest of a hill, turn left into ERUUF driveway. At first fork in the driveway, veer left. Commons Room is in the 2nd building on the right. I am also available for private lessons if you either have a time conflict with group classes or would like to refine old moves or learn new ones. I also have gift certificates for both group and private lessons. If you have any questions, either e-mail me or call(after 10:30 am) at (919)724-1421. Thanks! See you on the dance floor, Richard Badu
