The ice storm kept a lot of people away from the ERUUF (Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship )on Thursday, so I didn’t have a Beginning Lindy Charleston class (of course the die-hards came to the other classes!)last week. Not to worry, I am starting Beginning Charleston from the top starting this Thursday on March 13, at 8:30. This class will include variations of Tandem , Front, and side Charleston. I call this Lindy Charleston to distinguish it from 20’s style Charleston. Although this is part of Lindy, these moves are fun and can easily be added to East Cast Swing. Once you get the basics down, you can jump into the continuing Charleston class at 6:30. Intermediate/Advanced Lindy is at 7:30. The next TSDS dance will be the Keen McKensie Quintet at the Century Center in Carrboro on March 15. Drive approximately 0.7 miles. Near the crest of a hill, turn left into ERUUF driveway. At first fork in the driveway, veer left. Commons Room is in the 2nd building on the right. I am also available for private lessons if you either have a time conflict with group classes or would like to refine old moves or learn new ones.
