The icy, frigid trail that led from her heart, matched the tear stains on her cheeks and the darkened look in her face. The icy path led from her heart to her hands causing each of her fingers to fall off in sequence. Not visible to the human eye but to the ones who feel it. Metaphorically each of her fingers snapped away from her delicate hands and the icy trail reached her feet causing her to fall back. Way back.
