The idea behind public schools is supposed to be education. Yet, most public schools only achieve indoctrination. This is especially true when subjects like evolution, the age of the Earth, dinosaurs and more are brought up in the classroom. Usually, the textbooks and the curriculum will be designed to teach the secular side of an issue and misrepresent the Biblical side to an issue. So, I have decided to dedicate this month, and possibly a little bit of July, to exposing the flaws, errors and misconceptions in the public school curriculum. My goal is to raise awareness to the false ideas found in most public schools. Flaw #5 - The Origin Of Life During the evolution unit in high school, students are taught the secular idea of how life formed. According to the textbooks, 4.6 billion years ago the Earth was a hot molten mass as was most of the other planets in our solar system. Supposedly, as the Earth cooled it rained of the rocks for millions of years. In this rain was complex chemical soup, out of this soup the first life emerged. Not only is this idea taught in the evolution unit, but usually students are told this is how life originated several times throughout high school. This idea is called abiogenesis. The Bible on the other hand teaches the life was created by GOD. The sea creatures were created on day five and the land creatures were created on day six. This idea is found in the book of Genesis. Genesis is consistent with the complexity of life, the obvious design in the universe and laws like thermodynamics and gravity. It explains why death and suffering exist and it gives the first prophecy of our savior, Jesus Christ. Despite this consistency with science, only the abiogenesis view is taught. What is even more absurd is that abiogenesis is taught as if it were a scientific fact when in reality it’s not even a part of science. In fact, science contradicts abiogenesis in every stage of the idea. Radium Polonium halos indicate that the Earth was never a hot molten mass. The complexity of life indicates that life had to have been designed. The law of biogenesis says life cannot not come from non life and all experiments to produce life have failed. These flaws in the abiogenesis model are ignored or avoided by the public schools. Personally, I think the students deserve better. The students a least deserve the opportunity to hear what GOD has to say on the origin of life.
