The idea of DSIP and now the inclusion of PSIP that also extends to LLGSIP is a noble government intent to facilitate equal distribution of wealth. But of late and in the recent past it has lost its nobility as it has being hijacked by those in power to lure MPs to keep them in power. In doing so leaders have being corrupted to the point that the entire future of this super rich country is nothing short of being bleak. Every step forward will be reciprocated with two steps backwards. Only on mainstream media it will be heralded that we are advancing but in reality on the ground poverty will also increase in magnitude and scale. I hate negetivity but thats the reality. The abuse of these development funds have destroyed leaderships. Our leaders are not standing up to what they believe whilst others have being permanently silenced. Our political institutions have being eroded to the point corrupt. Its time now a new arrangement be put in place to make the funds free from political influence. The funds must not come under the direct control of a minister nor the prime minister neigther NEC. An independent body properly safeguarded by strong laws must administer its life and operation. Possibility of including the judiciary to oversee the operations of the funds must be explored. With the onstream of LNG so much is at stake with the purported increase of DSIP and PSIP and nothing like this should be left to chance.
