The idea, she explains, is to offer a “The Barrack Yard Tent Experience” (The BYTE) during the 2015 Carnival season. The BYTE is being produced as both a domestic and export product, and intends to return a high level of quality, innovation, vibrancy, heightened sense of expectation and respectability that the calypso tent was once known for. “For persons unfamiliar with a barrack yard experience, we’re hoping to present this product and offer a true feel of what it was like back in the days when calypso was thriving,” Choc’late emphasises. She says that CEF as well as her father and Black Stalin are all interested in producing a product which will sustain itself in a few years.
