The idea that theyre concerned and want to aggressively pursue a fix to the problem, of course - while simultaneously keeping that solution secret so only they have it, and everyone else still kills the bees - doesnt seem to occur to anyone. Monsanto is greedy, sure. And that might even be seen as evil. But if you have strong evidence that modern fungicides are responsible for colony collapse disorder (which we do), and you make a lot of your money from fungicides (which they do), you dont buy a research firm to shut them up (removing #1 only promotes #2),,, but to exploit their data for commercial advantage. Honestly, I would not paint Monsanto as a charity organisation or anything, but they are working harder than anyone else to fix the problems in the agricultural world. They just expect to be paid for it, and to be paid a LOT.
