The important question is...why is our government so relaxed about child safety and accident prevention? There are so many dangerous products available to buy in the UK, products which have been recalled/banned in other countries are still widely available to buy here. Why are the standards for safety so much stricter in other countries? Why is the safety advice so contradictive in the UK? Why arent the manufacturers of these dangerous products responsible? Why are they allowed to continue to make products known to be dangerous to children. Because of our government and the standards currently in place. Most manufacturers and sellers arent technically breaking the law, they are following extremely poor standards and regulations. Hiding behind so called safety advice, pushing the blame on the consumers and retailers. Many consumers are under the impression Well they wouldnt sell them if they were dangerous WRONG. This needs to change. As parents we want to buy products SAFE for children without doubt. Once again it is profit over lives. I care and so should every parent. We want correct safety advice, if you know of a danger shout it from the rooftops! We shouldnt have too, we should expect our government to be on top of things but theyre not. So until then I will continue fighting! Fighting for what is right, what is safe!!
