The impossible fantasy of this 1968 B-Movie was possible after all because it actually meant something to be young in 1968, and this movie actually got the Chicago police to guard all the places where someone could get to the water supply during the Dem convention because the Yippies vowed to dose the water with acid, same as the Troops did in Washington in the flick (even though IT DOESNT WORK coz of all the additives in the water). And one of the griefs of my old age is that this flick would be as incomprehensible to most of the young now as it was to the old then.
