The inspiration of my trip came from a girl I work with , when I inquired about more destinations I want to see in Washington for vacation, she told me she thought Crescent lake is one of the most beautiful spots shes been. Lake Crescent within Olympia National forest is known for its brilliant blue waters and exceptional clarity (in some spots as deep as 60 ft), caused by a lack of nitrogen in the water which inhibits the growth of algae. I made plans to stay at the lakes 100 year old lodge with a gorgeous close up window view of the lake. (it also has small cabin and cottage rentals) This video captures how close the lodge is to the lake.
