The internal history of princely states is the history of Mughals - TopicsExpress

The internal history of princely states is the history of Mughals and British in India, rather than the people of India. Enough is not known about the nobles who dominated the affairs of Rajputana, in particular the states of Bikaner & Mewar, to local records, as memoirs, correspondence etc about these people is not available. I am researching on the subject of “Contribution of Bachhawats in the Feudal Administration of Rajputana”, for over a decade now. My objective is to publish a ‘Coffee Table Book’ on the subject in due course. The book focuses on the contribution by a clan, called Bachhawats, also our ancestors, not only in the field of administration but in protecting the sovereignty of state. The social, cultural and political dimension of Bachhawats & Bachhawat Mehtas has also been discussed along with relevant photographs and sketches. Therefore, through these pages/groups I shall be sharing some of the extracts from my yet to be published book... Do read them, to learn about our rich & proud cultural heritage. You are also most welcome to share about your direct ancestors, your family tree... grandfathers, great-grandfathers and beyond, if you can trace them and the triumphs & tribulations faced by them. Love you all...!
