The internet is a constantly evolving place, and it is with a somewhat heavy heart I am writing this. I have seen so much veiled hate, racism and slut shaming the past few days it has driven me to a breaking point. Let me give you some examples. -A few people keep posting links to a “News” service (amazingly not Fox) that says that the cops that killed the minorities where in the right, then loses their shit with any story where any minority does anything that hurts a white person. Yes this is racism... Veiled or not it is, in every case reported on these “news” sites the minority is always wrong. Hey Im making no judgment here on what happened in these police killings, just showing the racism in the “news” reported. -I read a post today defending Bill Cosby. In this post it referenced one of the alleged victims, this victim was 15 at the time and at the Playboy Mansion. This post said in a roundabout way that she was asking for it. She was 15 at the Playboy mansion what was she expecting? This post did not say it didnt happen, just called into account the alleged victim. -Anything involving “Gamergate.” In which women are attacked for stating opinions, trust me google this and you will hang your head in shame. -A smart and very outspoken women writes a memoir and handles an issue with a pseudonym of an alleged rapist is handled very poorly. What happened? She is attacked, belittled and shamed. Yes for whatever reason the issue was not handled right, but why attack a rape victim? -Too many posts claiming one religion is horrible due to an isolated example and then completely ignores the isolated fruitcakes in your own religion. Clickbait... OK folks lets just agree not to click on these links anymore, we all know what they look like, they are annoying and exist to make money for the domain owner. What I am going to be doing over the next year. 1) I will not post nor click on clickbait 2) If you post hate, racism, or slut shaming content, veiled or not, I will not de-friend you. I will just hide you from my news feed so I never see your posts. It is way less drama that way. I will no longer argue with you just feel sorry for your narrow world view.
