The irony of me posting this on Facebook is not wasted on me. A few of my friends have shared this and now I do so too. The message is one that I have been expressing for a while now. I cannot deny that technology has become incredibly impressive over the past fifteen years, but we do need to disconnect from it more than we currently do in order to connect with the real world. It was only yesterday that I was talking to a friend (in REAL life) about how people should experience life in the here and now, not video it for later. Stop texting while youre walking, or you might get hit by a bus. Social media has been a boon for those of us who are scattered away from friends and family around the world, but it doesnt mean we have to become hermits. Now, go out and play, and dont come back until dusk.
