The issue I have with those people who object about your views on racism by using the dictionary is that in terms of sociological issues, you really have to be delusional to think that it will accurately describe a layered and complicated society. There comes a time when you need to go beyond the simple definition in order to delve into the working of unjust systems and dismantle them. It’d be like writing a philosophical essay and limiting yourself to the dictionary definition of the important terms, your reasoning is definitely not going to go very far.
