The issue of electing Alderman by District received a huge chunk of support this morning when WATR 1320 AM Talk Radio Host Larry Riftin gave a ringing verbal endorsement during his morning Talk of the Town show. Riftin said in many words there is a lack of accountability under the present at-large-system and feels district representation would get many more people involved in a dying government process. This is very significant since it is the only real local radio talk show that has a very large listening audience and counters the negative coverage and anti district slant, of the Waterbury Republican in which this endorsement should been covered in but they dare not let the voice of the people be heard. We want to thank Larry and WATR Radio for being far and balanced in their coverage of the Waterbury Region.
