The issue of quality of education and low results in some of our schools need to be addressed. Low results even in the schools in the capital city of Gandhinagar are a cause of great concern. I specially took out some time from my schedule to make a surprise visit to Sardar Patel school in Sector 7 to understand the ground realities. During an hour long interaction with students and teachers, talked about various aspects of education including use of technology,importance of regular attendance of kids, and sincere efforts by teachers. The kids have now promised to work hard and be regular. Have conveyed to the teachers clearly that such a state of affairs would not be tolerated by this government,which is committed to quality education for all.
