The issue of the removal of the signal on Hidden Valley and Corona was brought to Council last as requested by Council member Bash after the City spent $125,000 to install it but no dollar amount was given as to the cost of removal. With a vote of 4-0 (Mayor Hanna against the removal due to safety) it was passed to remove the signal to protect and keep Norco rural and traffic free.I am very concerned about the safety factor of this decision for Norco Residents as well as Corona residents. it is also my understanding that the final closure of Corona Ave was also agendized last night. If we do not take the safety of our neighboring Cities into consideration in these decisions why should they care what happens to Norco especially as Measure L comes before Riverside voters? I am all for protecting our town and life style but this decision made no sense to me.
