The issue on Mannys tax woes is not just about his paying the right, or not enough, amount due, but the callousness, insensitivity, corruption, vendetta, and what-have-you of this failed government. It not only symbolizes the subtle tyranny of this regime, but also amplifies the call for change! Every Filipino knows the story of Manny, how he rose from poverty through his hard work, sacrifices, diligence and discipline... things that are lacking in those so-called educated leaders. They cannot accept that someone who has practically nothing to eat became one of the richest and most influential people not only in the country but in the whole world, and that he earned it in a clean way. They earned their million (or hidden billions) through shady deals, land-grabbing, manipulations, stealing from the poor, making laws to legalize their unconstitutional intentions, etc. The ordinary Pinoy looks up to Manny for inspiration, that they, too, like him can rise through perseverance and hard-work. Now, the government not only steals the peoples money, they also steal the peoples dreams and aspiration. And that is the biggest crime the government has done!
