The job of an INVIGILATOR ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The work of an invigilator is not to stop the students from cheating, but to maintain the SILENCE in the examination room, and to provide the supplementary sheets as and when required. The most efficient way of doing this is to make the student write one’s roll number and supplementary sheet number on the University record sheet. Apart from this, an invigilator should not bother himself or herself to stop cheating. Let the students do whatever they want, but make sure that the silence is maintained. That’s it. Not only will the students co-operate (they will do whatever you ask for) they will also RESPECT you. And in teaching profession, RESPECT is EVERYTHING. Therefore, whenever I am invigilating I simply let the students cheat. Even if they secure 100% marks, it CANNOT harm me in any way.
