The job was a go! I was told after finger printing and filing an application fee ($75.00 for fingerprinting, and $9.00 for the application fee) I would be notified of a start date for training by the following Friday! THat Friday I received the letter from The Dept of Corrections, and was so excited until I read it: The personnel office wrote and stated it was decided against hiring me. I called HR was told after all that aggravation and hard work not to mention the $75.00 for the fingerprinting fee that it wasnt known why I wasnt hired. I was told the fingerprinting fee was non refundable and that the $9.00 application fee would be sent back I found out months later that Rikers Island was downsized, anf that the city decided that the security guards and the correction officers could do the work of timekeeping. Apparently me and 21 other candidates that were hired were also told that there was a change in plan! Thank-you Mr. Bloomberg! So my relationship is rocky. The guy I liked and thought wanted to be with me R has made it clear if I make any attempt ti contactr him he will place harassment charges on me. so that is it for now! Then the idea of me returning to college is blocked. and the aspirations I had of building a center for abused teens has been dashed! or so it seems for now! I hope that last situation of the center being built will become a reality but right now there is little hope for that! And my personal life is again stagnated in all directions. I keep trying to end up losingf! If anyone is reading these posts thank you for your time. Any feedback is welcomed! Eloise/2013
