The joy of celebrating the New Year is the newness it offers. We are carried by the exciting collective energy of new possibilities, making postive changes and transforming dreams into reality. The down side is that the novelty fades away sometimes all too quickly. Can we take this spirit into all of the year? I believe we can. If we focus on the cosciousness or spirit of newness then perhaps we have the key to keeping this special mindset, feeling and experience through the entire year. A challenge? Yes, but an exciting one! Take newness into every moment rather than every new day or every new year. Meet and greet each moment with the newness of seeing. See each person as though you are seeing them for the first time. Meet every situation with the excitment of a first time meeting. Use all your knowledge, experience and intuition to treat with it in a space of grace and gratitude to life. Have a cup of tea, play with a child, smile to another, reach to touch a flower, play with a pet, read a book…..all with this awareness of newness. The gift is seeing anew brings a glow to life.
