The judge has spoken. DAMON WILL BE GETTING THE STANDING WHEELCHAIR! I thank the court for seeing what we so clearly saw. I thank the people at Permobil, for assisting us in the fight and for believing in the combination of both their product and my son. I thank my friend, Tj Amico , for connecting me to the right people at Permobil and for forcing me to not give up through the entire exhausting process. I thank our lawyer for her presentation and her belief. I thank our team at Hershey for coming through for us and standing at our side as we waged our battle. I thank our team at John Heinz for initiating the entire process and introducing us to the chair in the first place. And to the insurance company, I ask that you review each case before you sweep your blanket denial over many in need. Sometimes you need to open your eyes and look a little more closely. And before you slam that stamp down, for one second, just one, put yourself in the shoes of the person making the request. So many lives can change. Thanks everyone for your support. Ive met so many wonderful people all over the world during this particular quest. I can’t get rid of this smile and I can’t stop the tears. My son will finally have some independence.
