The judgment of evil in Jesus Christ means that all that is left for humanity is blessing. This is what we see in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Man and God existed together in him in perfect harmony. As the Son of God, Jesus Christ gave himself as the sacrifice for the sins of the world. As the Son of Man, Jesus Christ was glorified in his resurrection and exalted to the right hand of God. This is humanity’s portion in the wonderful exchange that took place in Jesus Christ. God has granted all his privileges of blessing to Jesus Christ and through him to humanity. There is no balance between humanity’s sin and the victory of God over sin in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. All their sin is far outweighed by the resurrection of Jesus Christ and it has been put in the past. God has removed the threat of judgment and has left no room for anything but joy. It provides an outlook for the future that is not simply optimism, but which is obedience to the will of God revealed in Jesus Christ and received with thanks.
