The desecration and sacrilege to Mosque in Gool, Ramban is unacceptable, along with the beating up incident of a local Imam. “The justification given by the top cop of BSF, vindicating the firing episode, is a criminal act.” Prof. A.G.Mir Chairman SKCS, said , adding that such like carnages have taken place in past as well , the authorities in past too have promised probes and stern actions against the security personnel involved in such heinous crimes , all of them have proven hallow, at present state government has postured the same approach over the killing of innocent people in Gool , Ramban . It has been the persistent demand of the people in Jammu Kashmir in general and Human Rights bodies in particular to repeal the ignominious AFSPA , which is treated as a ‘Holy Law’ by the Indian armed forces working in Kashmir, under this cover several massacres, fake encounters etc. were staged by security forces. SKCS insists for an impartial, independent and time bound investigation to the Gool incident , besides an exemplary punishment against the erring BSF personnel , involved in the killing . Above and beyond the complete withdrawal of AFSPA in the State.
