The key to economic growth is twofold. First, liberty. Second, cheap energy. Combined, these two have been the basis of economic growth since 1800. Because of the Internet, liberty is increasing. There is going to be more entrepreneurship in 20 years than there is today. It is spreading to China. It is spreading to India. There is no way to stop it now. The Internet is bringing the possibilities of entrepreneurship to the whole world. The old world order of central planning, mercantilism, and regulations is going to be overwhelmed by the enormous productivity and the rapid spread of entrepreneurship.
