The key to four-points this weekend is special teams. Pittsburgh and Philadelphia have incredibly similar statistics in every other aspect of the game except PK- and PP-percentage. The Pens lead the entire NHL in both columns - 25.4 PP%, 87.1 PK%. We slot in at 12th & 10th, respectively. As Im sure youre aware, our Flyers sweep the League in total penalties (354), total penalty minutes (997), and penalty minutes per game (15.4). Possession-wise, the Pens arent reigning as much as youd think. They have a healthy shooting percentage, mostly due to taking wise shots and being so dominant on the man-advantage. But if our boys somehow manage to maintain a discipline style of play, I dont see any evidence leading me to believe we couldnt pullout consecutive victories.
