The key to having perfect makeup is starting with a good base, using 5 simple steps! 👌 1) Moisturise your skin morning and night. Essential to do so before make up application, as it makes it last longer. I dont believe in primer, any good moisturiser will hold onto your makeup. 2) Illuminate/Highlight your skin. This step is optional but if your like me and love a fresh/dewy finish to your makeup, this step is essential. Place MAC strobe cream, Inglot illuminator 61, or NYX illuminator (a steal for €9.99 in Sam Mccauleys) on the areas you want to highlight. (Cheekbones, eyebrow bone, Cupids bow and centre of forehead) 3) The key to your makeup being perfect every single time is having the right foundation colour, its so important. Have two foundations, one for day and one for night - matching this to your tan of course. To get a flawless finish, use a stipple brush. These are brilliant!! I use a crownbrush stipple brush, its costs around €14? Similar to the MAC one which is roughly €45. These brushes are amazing, your foundation is applied flawlessly within 2 minutes! Do not use your fingers applying foundation, it never ever leaves a nice finish to your makeup, your foundation is left sitting on top of your face and its not blended into your skin leaving it looking cakey. 4) Conceal. Use a liquid concealer. I use Rimmel wake me up concealer in the colour soft beige. This is my holy grail as i have dark circles under my eyes, this product has a pink undertone which block out purple and blue tones. Once applied it instantly freshens up your face and takes away that tired eye look. 5) Contour/Blush. I apply a cream concealer during the day as its more natural looking than powder. TI use a small amount with a contour brush and blend it under my cheekbones, carving them. Always start with a small amount as you can always build up the colour. If you use to much to start of with, it can look dirty and you will have to start your makeup all over again. I use Chanel Creme de solier, its a natural tan coloured bronzer that you can build up bit by bit. There is other alternatives, Barry M and NYX supply cream bronzers. For a more dramatic look for night time, apply a small amount of powdered bronzer on top of the cream bronzer, making the colour more stronger and cheekbones sharper. Apply a small amount of blusher to the apples of your cheeks. I use MAC desert rose as a nice natural flushed coloured, but any nice soft pink colour would work! And thats the steps to a perfect makeup base! 💄
