The kids were singing Building Up the Temple yesterday morning, - TopicsExpress

The kids were singing Building Up the Temple yesterday morning, like every Sunday morning. This time it was different for me. I started listening to the words, brothers wont you help us, sisters wont you help us, building up the temple for the Lord. The song is about a building that people cant get around, they have to go in. I began to think about how the Bible says we are the temple of the Lord. We as brothers and sisters should be helping build up the temple. We should be encouraging each other. Paul always went back to places he had preached before to build up, encourage, comfort, minister to those he had helped to convert to Christianity. He never left a church hanging. We as Christians should be teaching our new converts in the ways of the Lord. We should be jumping on their zeal for the Lord. When people come to us with ideas, we should encourage. We shouldnt automatically tell them how things arent going to work out. When they want to do things for the church or a certain group in the church, we should allow them to, with in the bounds of the Word of God. Some times people who are a little farther along in the faith lose the excitement, zeal they once had. They may have become hardened by past failures or regrets. If things havent worked in the past, that doesnt mean they wont work now with a different group of people. We need to let the Lord work. Its better to try and fail rather than never try at all in fear of failure. Who knows what we miss out on when we never try. If you want to rain on someones holy rollin, Bible thumping, zeal parade, you better be sure the Lord is in your rain. Be an encouragement to others, be a new convert booster, you may get your zeal back in doing so. Just because some one tries to discourage you doesnt mean you should give up. Fight the good fight. The Lord has promised us victory.
