The knowledge of the Righteous Salaf was pure. There was not within it deviation in belief, nor in worship & nor in manners. As for these times, then there has entered deviation and strange matters into all of these affairs. It was Islam that raised the Arabs & saved from Shirk & brought them to Tawheed, darkness to light, misguidance to guidance. This Islam upon its pure understanding will give honour and glory and aid to the Muslims. It is obligatory upon the Scholars of Islaam in these times, that they purify Islam from that which is not from it: Tasfiyah. And this tasfiyah (purification of the Religion from false practices) is coupled with at-tarbiyah (cultivation and education). Tarbiyah (cultivation) requires time after the establishment of tasfiyah. So after the tasfiyah, then tarbiyah is needed. So today if one looks at the world, then you do not see any of this in practice amongst the various Jamaaahs that are fighting Knowledge is the medicine - and if the medicine is contaminated, then the cure of the ailment will not be achieved. You do not see these two foundations of tasfiyah and tarbiyah. Then this uprising in Palestine then what is its foundation? These Islamic groups are not upon the pure Tawheed, or worship, or morals & manners. So let us be honest & straightforward! So I do not support the Palestinian uprising, nor the revolt in Syria, nor did I support the overthrow of the Haram in Mecca. I do not support the rebellion in Egypt or the assassination of Anwar Sadat. All of this is of absolutely no benefit at all. What benefits is that one proceeds & acts upon the sound and correct knowledge and that we cultivate our sons and daughters.
