The large tent (aka: Ice Castle) is being erected for the Frozen party. Every time Marty has to put up this tent for a party, it brings us one step closer to divorce. I know this, yet, I cant help myself. Im in party planning mode and something just takes over and renders me incapable of keeping my mouth shut. While he struggles with the tent, I find it necessary to stand at the door begin barking out helpful little phrases. For some reason, I feel its important for him to know where the tables are going. I need to inform him that Ill need some kind of heat for the tent and that I will need ample electricity for both the heaters and the lights. Additionally, I inform him that hell need to build some kind of shelf for the snow making machine. This causes him to stop what hes doing and glare at me. I have my argument prepared and at the ready: Can you really have a Frozen party without the snow making machine? Further, what good will it be if its on the ground? Everyone knows snow is supposed to fall down, not up. He says something about the snow machine up my ass, which is utterly ridiculous, as I am only five feet tall which means my ass is only approximately three feet from the ground. This will definitely not have the desired effect. Hes pounding the stakes into the ground. I know his envisioning my face, because with each stake, he pounds harder. Any reasonably intelligent woman would just stop at that point. But suddenly Im compelled to remind him that the sides of the tent will need to be put up as well (just in case he forgot). And this is the easy part. If Im not divorced or dead by the time the tent is up, I surely will be by the time all the lights have been hung. I can almost envision Marty dancing around and singing (to the tune of Let It Go) Hate her guts, hate her guts. Cant stand my wife anymore. Hate her guts, hate her guts. Wish shed walk out the door. I wont weep when I kill her in her sleep...
