The last 2.5 months have been rough for me and mom. I want to believe I did all I could to make her time as pleasant as possible. Until the end she made good progress and her passing came surprising for everyone. It is comforting to know she didnt feel anything and didnt had to suffer. As much as it hurts, I know it was the best for her. It brought tears to my eyes to see all the people pay their last respects to her. Friends, former colleagues, neighbors and nurses. We had no contact to the rest of the family for years but even some of them showed up. Even my father was there, after being divorced from mom for about 35 years. I want to thank you all for your condolences and especially those who have been there for me during this hard time, be it talking to me to distract me, share their own experiences or letting me cry. Thank you!
