The last 24 hours have probably been one the craziest, scariest, and shocking times of my life. Here is a summary (especially for family - as to what is happening). My mom called me around 5 am yesterday and told me she needed to call 911 for herself because if she moved out of the bed she thought she would die. The paramedics made it to her house busted the door in and took her to the hospital. I made it to the hospital within about 2 hours of her call to me. When she got here her blood pressure was 230/187 -- they gave her various medications, EKG, CT Scan, etc. They admitted her for observation. At around 11 she started getting Charlie horses in both legs -- aunt Debbie and I messaged her legs with hot compresses for almost an hour. She then looked at me and said she felt like she did that morning. Aunt Debbie got the nurse while she told me (and Kevin) she saw black, blue, and red lights/spots. At this point, a lot of crazy things happened - she code blued on 2 separate occasions. They immediately moved her to ICU. She has had a battery of tests and more scheduled for today. Her cardiac enzyme levels are within normal range - praise. Her blood pressure ranges anywhere from 110-150 over 54-80. She cannot lift her head up or sit up more than a 15% angle -- if she does she gets extremely dizzy, nauseous, and feels as if she is going to pass out. Her blood pressure increases when this happens. She is talking with us and her nurses. If you know my mom -- she is over being in the bed , really wants to get up and walk !! Please pray that today will come with answers, healing hands, and guidance. We have no idea what is happening, why it is happening, or what is causing it. We are thankful for all the prayers and love. ❤️
