The last book in the New Testament is prophecy. From chapter 4 to - TopicsExpress

The last book in the New Testament is prophecy. From chapter 4 to the end it pictures what takes place on planet earth during the great tribulation. There is a verse near the end that, in my opinion, summarizes the sins that dominate our culture. John writes: But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Of all the sins that God could have listed, why does he single out liars? The answer seems obvious. Truth suffers today as never before. Men have always lied, but we now live in a country where many of our people expect the politicians and others to lie. Lying is a way of life. Some people lie their way through life. There are men in high positions because they lied about their education or experience. If lying were not acceptable, there are some politicians who would have been sent home many years ago. But the American people accept lying as part of life. We have had leaders who have been exposed irrefutably as pathological liars, but keep being reelected. The love and respect for truth suffers in America. Men who tell the truth and would die before lying or misrepresenting anything are an endangered species. Muslims, for example, see lying as a virtue if it helps them achieve a certain goal. I think there are many Americans who have accepted this type of behavior. But isnt it sad that we live in a day that we can not believe what some of our highest leaders say. I wont disappoint you. If I have told you something twenty-five times, you can bank it. It is the truth and I wont change one letter. You know what I mean? Join me in praying for a revival of truth in America.
